How to care for aloe vera in the heat
Here’s what you should do in the months when temperatures rise.
Aloe vera is a very common and appreciated plant, also because it is easy to grow.
With the arrival of spring, it also needs specific care since temperatures tend to rise heading into summer .
So let’s see what measures to put in place to do better.
- Location: the place where the plant is placed is very important for its growth. The ideal location is in a bright area, but away from direct sunlight that could damage it.
- Water: During the warmer months, aloe vera needs to be kept hydrated at all times. To make sure you give it the right amount of water, look at the soil: when it is dry it is time to give it water.
- Soil: the ideal environment for the growth of aloe is a non-compact and draining soil, to allow excess water to escape and prevent the roots from rotting.
- Propagation: When temperatures are high it is best to avoid the spread of aloe. The ideal time to do it is after summer.
- Fertilizer: During the warmer months, aloe does not need large amounts of fertilizer. You can apply a natural liquid fertilizer every 20 days.
