How to properly decant the lemon plant

There are a few steps to pay attention to. Are here.

The  lemon plant  can also be grown at home, to always have its fragrant citrus fruits available.

When the need arises to  transfer it , there are a series of  steps  to take to ensure that the operation is successful.

Let’s see what they are.

  1. Season:  as with all plants, in this case it is also important to respect their seasonality. The ideal season to decant the lemon plant is the beginning of spring.
  2. Soil:  it is important to choose quality and, above all, draining soil, to avoid water stagnation.
  3. Container:  it is essential that the pot that houses the plant is the correct size. The ideal should be large enough so that the roots have the necessary space to grow healthy.
  4. How to do it:  After removing it from the old container, soak the roots in water for at least 10-15 minutes. After that, make a hole in the center of the soil, insert the roots and add the necessary soil. After that, with a fairly long and sharp object, make holes to remove air.
  5. Water:  after decanting the plant it is important to wet it regularly, ensuring that the soil is always moist.
  6. Position:  Put the newly decanted plant in a shady area for a few days. After that, when you notice that it has started to grow again, place it in a brighter location.
