HOW TO REMOVE YELLOW MARKS UNDER THE ARMPIT OF SHIRTS AND T-SHIRT

You have just taken your  favorite shirt from the wardrobe,  but then you realize that it has  yellow marks  under the armpits that are not at all nice to look at.

Even though you have washed it several times, the  yellow stain  doesn’t seem to want to go away and so you think that the only solution is to have to give up your garment.

We are happy to announce to you, however, that this is not the case! In fact, there are  natural remedies  capable of removing  yellow marks under the armpits  from  shirts and t-shirts  quickly and easily. Let’s see them together!

How to pre-treat yellow spots

Yellow stains  under the armpits  are due, in particular, to  sweat  that tends to soak in or to the use of  deodorant  that sticks to the fabric.

For this reason, it is important to always  pre-treat these stains  before washing your clothes: regular washing, in fact, does not always work for the  sweat stain  that soaks into the underarm area  of the clothing .

The garment must be treated in a more specific way,  turning it inside out  and focusing on the underarm area before general washing of the garment.

In case of sweat, it is advisable to always let it  evaporate  before placing the garment in the laundry basket to be washed, so as to  eliminate bad odors .

Sodium bicarbonate

The first remedy we want to recommend is  sodium bicarbonate . This ingredient, in fact, is known for its  whitening properties .

Then take  5 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda  and  half a cup of water.

Mix the two ingredients and pour the mixture on the yellow stain to be removed. Rub gently and leave for  about half an hour.

Then, rinse the shirt and wash it in cold water. Then let it dry.

Aspirin and Cream of Tartar

Another very effective method in case of  yellow marks  is to use aspirin with  cream  of tartar .

For this remedy, you will need  three aspirin tablets, a cup of warm water  and  a tablespoon of cream of tartar.

Mix all the ingredients, and apply the solution to the underarm area of your garment.

Then use a  toothbrush  and scrub the solution. Then, leave the mixture on the garment  for about 20 minutes .

At this point, proceed to wash your garment. Your garment will immediately be  degreased and perfumed!

Toothpaste

Toothpaste  is also  an excellent solution for  removing yellow stains from t-shirts .

Apply a little toothpaste directly to the stain to be treated and scrub with  a toothbrush  or soft bristle brush.

Rub until you see the stain fade. At this point, proceed with washing. Not everyone knows it, but toothpaste is an  excellent remedy for removing stains , as you can see in this  video :

White vinegar

When it comes to removing stains from  yellowed fabrics , we cannot fail to mention white vinegar , a powerful  odor neutralizer  as well as a natural degreaser.

Therefore, take  two tablespoons of white vinegar  and pour it on the area to be treated. Let the white vinegar act for  about 20 minutes.  Then proceed to wash the garment.

You can also   pour  spoonful of vinegar  into the  washing machine drum  for more effective action. Or create a  spray bottle with  equal parts water and vinegar and use if necessary:

Laundry Soda

Another effective remedy, not to be confused with baking soda, is  sodium carbonate . We also know it as  laundry SODA , or  solvay soda!

In fact, carbonate is also effective for degreasing and neutralizing bad odors.

Then take  two tablespoons of sodium carbonate  and then add a little water until you have created a thicker paste.

Pour the mixture onto the underarm area of the garment and always take care to use a pair of gloves to work the paste.

At this point, leave the paste on  for about 20 minutes . Then rinse thoroughly with cold water and proceed to wash the garment.

Caution:  Do not use sodium carbonate for delicate fabrics or woolen fabrics.

How to avoid staining sweat shirts

Once we have seen the natural ingredients capable of  removing yellow stains on shirts and t-shirts , let’s see together other measures to follow  to avoid the formation of these stains .

First of all, we recommend that you always use a  stain-resistant deodorant.

Furthermore, it is advisable to wash the white shirt immediately after wearing it so as to prevent the stains from settling.

Always choose to buy  more breathable fabrics , such as  cotton , wool, silk fabrics and to avoid more synthetic fabrics such as polyester.

These, in fact, tend to trap sweat more and form stains.

In any case,  always read the washing labels  to avoid making mistakes!
