I’ve tried them all to get rid of moss on walls and between tiles: but this method is truly magical!

Now that we can enjoy our outdoor spaces, the  presence of moss on the garden walls and between the terrace tiles  immediately attracts attention. And the problem is not only and simply aesthetic.

These vegetables retain moisture and can also compromise the long-term tightness of the cement. Result?! Tile and masonry crumble and peel, making the  areas they rest on less stable.

We can’t waste too much time, we must act as soon as possible to eradicate the problem at the root, which is very appropriate in this case!

Let’s see how to do it, using only natural remedies.  In this way we can live in the outside area of our home in total safety, without breathing harmful toxic industrial poisons, effective yes, but highly inadvisable for our health and that of the environment.

Moss on walls and between tiles: I use these remedies to get rid of it

Moss  , when it crawls between the cracks of soils and paths, makes them  slippery and penetrates deeply,  degrading them until they crack.

Obviously, the same risk also applies to masonry, which can crumble and be dangerous: plaster peels off and deteriorates quickly.

White vinegar  and coarse salt , however, can solve the problem:  they are non-toxic, but effective ingredients.

Pour one or the other over the moss and  let it sit for at least 24 hours,  then scrape it off with an iron brush. Do not do it when it rains: the water will dilute the effect until it is nullified.

If you have to work on  porous materials such as terracotta and marble, avoid acidic ingredients and prepare a mixture based on:

  • 1 tablespoon  baking soda
  • 2 cups of  Marseille liquid soap
  • 1 liter of  water.

Pour it in and let it sit.

For joints,  use vodka,  undiluted. Sprinkle with alcohol, then wash with boiling water. Wait for it to cool and then scrape.

If you still can’t get rid of moss or lichen and algae with natural remedies, you can try bleach.

Wear masks and gloves, then pour it neat on the affected areas. Finally, wash the floor with hot water.

And you will be free to live outdoors without fear!
