Mushroom remains and coffee grounds: the perfect combination for growing mushrooms!


You will be amazed by this  original method  for growing  edible mushrooms  by combining coffee grounds and leftover mushrooms!

When preparing mushrooms, don’t throw away the  bottom part  ! In fact, these are the basic elements to make  growing  at home very simple.

To do this, cut the base of each mushroom, leaving about a centimeter. Once the bases are cut, cut them into small pieces. Then prepare the seedling for growth.

It takes  hay  or  straw  to sterilize boiling water. As. The stems are cut so that they can fit into a pot and boiled for half an hour.

Grow mushrooms using coffee grounds and mushrooms!

While the hay or straw is boiling, don’t forget to mix it regularly to obtain excellent sterilization. After 30 minutes, you can filter it through a sieve and leave to cool for a while. On the other side, take the  coffee grounds . Even those in capsules can be fine.

Now, take an ice cube tray with lid, perfect for growing mushrooms. Inside, position the straw correctly. You can crush it to make it compact. Then pour in the coffee grounds, creating a thick and compact layer that completely hides the straw. Place the mushroom pieces in the coffee grounds.

Then generously moisten the soil and close the tub with its lid. It is advisable to drill holes in the lid to allow air to pass through. 4 or 5 holes are enough, then plug them with absorbent cotton.

Now place the container  in a warm, bright place  without being exposed to direct sunlight, for 20 days. After this period, you will see a  white material  which is nothing other than the mycelium that will give rise to the mushrooms.

Using a spray, do not forget to moisten the  soil  daily. After a few weeks, the first mushrooms will appear. Afterwards, you can harvest  up to three or four times  in the same soil. After that, you will have to start all over again, and so on!
