The best tips for preserving a bouquet of roses

To properly preserve a bouquet of roses, start by removing the wrappings from the flowers,  especially if you purchased them from the florist. Remove all wires and decorations adorning the bouquet.

Then place the roses in a vase of not too cold water. The water  must not be cold because roses do not like very cold water, the best thing is to use  lukewarm water . It is also good to pay attention to the leaves, which must not be immersed in water. This prevents the flowers from wilting more quickly. It is therefore advisable to remove them immediately.

To make your  flowers  last longer, we recommend adding  a special flower preservative  to the water. This is an essential product for preserving flowers for several days. You can purchase this product at your florist or specialist shop, and follow all  instructions for correct use.

To prevent the flowers from wilting quickly, you need to keep an eye on the flower water. To this end, it is recommended to change the rose water every day, or even several times a day. It is also necessary to keep the vase clean to avoid the development of substances that accelerate the deterioration of the flowers.

While changing the water in the vase, don’t forget to  cut the flower stems . With a pair of scissors or a knife, cut about 2 inches from each stem at an angle. A shape that absorbs water better.

You should also know that  the position of the vase  plays an essential role in the  conservation  of your flowers. If you want to keep them in good condition for a long time, place the vase in a temperate place. It should not be exposed to sunlight. Drafts and cold must also be avoided.
