To be healthy, experts recommend drinking 1.5 to 2 liters of water a day. But according to a recent scientific study, this is not true at all. After extensive research, scientists have confirmed that drinking 2 liters of water a day is not an obligation. Indeed, it is estimated that this amount is too much for one day. A survey of 5,000 people
During the study, experts consulted around 5,000 people from 23 different countries. Each participant was given a test to identify the rate of renewal of water in the body .
Professor Neil Turner, a kidney specialist at the University of Edinburgh, explains: “Contrary to many claims, you should drink as much as you think you need. The body is able to define the amount of water it needs and communicates this with thirst.” He goes on to say that other drinks such as tea and coffee are part of the recommended 1.5 liters of fluids in a day.
