How to plant tulips: 2 different possible methods
There are two very different ways to plant and propagate tulips. This is what they consist of.
Tulips are very common and appreciated flowers, due to their bright colors and particular shape that make them immediately recognizable.
But it often happens that you wonder how a tulip is born and how to make it look beautiful.
In fact, there are two different ways , let’s see what they are.
- Seed: Unlike other flowers, giving birth to tulips through seeds is a long and complicated process. The seeds develop in “capsules” that are pollinated and then dried and then planted in small containers. To have tulips through this method the times required are very long: several years. For this reason it is a method that is used to obtain new varieties.
- Bulbs : The best known and probably the most practical method is that of bulbs which can be planted during the most suitable season directly in pots or in the garden. In this way, flowering is much faster, and tulips are obtained that are very similar to each other.
