Cinnamon is a spice widely used in cooking, but not only. Here is a use that will amaze you and that you will no longer be able to do without.

In addition to being very aromatic, cinnamon has a  pungent and characteristic taste  that is impossible not to recognize.

Cinnamon, what are its properties

Cinnamon was used as a natural medicine already by the Egyptians and then by the Romans. The properties and benefits of this spice are well known today. In fact, cinnamon is able to stimulate blood circulation, fighting bad cholesterol. For this reason it is a natural antioxidant and protects cardiovascular circulation.

Cinnamon is also used as an  antibacterial, antiseptic, stimulant  but also digestive. Those suffering from type 2 diabetes could use cinnamon with the same function as insulin because it contains a particular polyphenol. Furthermore, it can be used to counteract menstrual pain.

Not everyone knows, however, that cinnamon can also be useful to  combat the presence of insects on plants and beyond . As for plants, cinnamon is said to be able to combat plant aphids (lice and other parasites). It can be sprinkled directly onto the ground in powder form or inserted into the ground in the form of sticks. Another way is to prepare a decoction which, once cold, should be sprayed directly on the plant affected by aphids. Ceylon cinnamon oil is also very useful. A few drops of this oil can be used, diluted in water, to wash plants affected by parasites.

What if we put it in white vinegar?

To learn this trick you need 2/3 cinnamon sticks and about a liter of white wine vinegar. The latter is widely used for cleaning thanks to its numerous properties. The first thing to do will be to pour the white wine vinegar into a bottle compatible with a spray bottle. Two/three cinnamon sticks will be poured into the vinegar  . Close the container with the spray bottle and shake well.

The mixture can be used immediately. What is it used for. To keep flies away from the kitchen. Just spray a little directly on the flying insect which, hit by the substance, will immediately fall to the ground.

With this solution, if any flying insects, such as flies, midges etc. should it enter your kitchen, you can destroy it immediately, without resorting to expensive and dangerous  chemical products . The latter, in fact, require ventilated environments to be used and, in any case, could not be used where food is prepared.
