In the kitchen, you may prepare a dish that is too salty. Luckily, there is a trick revealed by chefs. Let’s see what it is.

The trick to fixing a dish that’s too salty is extremely easy to replicate. It will amaze you.

Dish too salty: it can happen

Even the most experienced cooks can mess up a dish due to too much salt. This is certainly an inconvenience that could make your guests’ meal truly unpleasant. Luckily, everything can be remedied and it is the chefs themselves who reveal the trick. Also because  food waste , especially in this period, cannot be tolerated at all.

The secret lies in rebalancing the taste of the dish, effectively making the cooked dish edible. After all, there are those who  love very well-seasoned dishes , others, however, who prefer them more bland. In any case, the secret certainly lies in the middle. Overdoing it with salt, especially for those suffering from hypertension, is never a good idea. Yet, in dishes, the right amount of salt is essential to enhance the flavors. For other dishes, however, it is impossible to conceive them without salt,  an example? French fries!

The trick to fix it

Each dish has its own trick to remedy excess salt. For soups, you can remedy this and rebalance the flavors by adding water and  letting it boil  for several minutes, without exaggerating with the heat. The amount of water must be right. In fact, putting too much of it could alter the taste of the soup itself.

If the overly salty dish is  a casserole , dairy products can balance out the overly salty taste. The same goes for parsley, spinach but also coriander and green vegetables. For casseroles, but also for soups, potatoes and carrots are able to  absorb excess salt , rebalancing the flavours. The pieces of potatoes and carrots can be removed once the dish is cooked.

However,  a pinch of sugar is enough  to balance the excess salt. This remedy is valid for sauces but also for soups.

A dish that is too salty can also be balanced with the help of a little  lemon juice or a teaspoon of honey.

If the rice is too tasty, just drain it and  replace the cooking water  with less salty water. Excessive salt, therefore, will be diluted. This also applies to pasta and boiled foods.

In the case of a truly excessively savory preparation, one that could leave a bad taste in the mouth, the trick is to cook a  second preparation without salt , to add to the first course. This applies whether you are preparing pancake batter, or mayonnaise, etc.
