Tangerines, these small citrus fruits that fit in the palm of your hand, are known for their delicious and excellent taste. This food is an important health panacea, as it contains vitamins, especially vitamin C. The good news is that you can perfectly grow them yourself. That is, without harmful pesticides, but with some simple instructions. Here’s how to do it.
.
First of all, we must remember how precious this food is for strengthening our immune system and that our body benefits from a real hydrating contribution. Let’s see together how to benefit from your mandarins.
The process of seedbed preparation
- You can use seeds that you have previously washed, but you can also buy some. As for the pot, look for a medium-sized one with a drainage hole (be aware that thanks to pots it is possible to grow a large number of vegetables).
- At the bottom of the vase, place some stones and then some sand. This filling allows for better air circulation .
- Next, prepare a humus-rich soil . Consider components such as perlite, peat or compost.
-
- Water the soil and wait for it to reach adequate moisture . Be sure to avoid stagnant water.
- Carefully plant some seeds in the soil and then cover them with soil. An amount of one centimeter will be sufficient.
- Apply cling film to the vase to keep it moist (you can also place the vase in a plastic bag). The germination process will be faster.
- Make sure the jar is in a warm place . To avoid sunlight, place the pot in a place with a sufficiently high temperature.
- Add a little water regularly. The goal is that the soil is never dry, but not soggy either . Count about 20 days before you notice the first shoots.
- When these first manifestations are noticed, the plastic film can be removed and the vase placed in a bright place. This doesn’t mean exposing it to the sun.
- In spring and during the harvest months, when it will be necessary to add compost to the plant three times a month, prefer a liquid fertilizer with a good concentration of zinc, magnesium and iron.
These are the steps. Over time, you will see a tree growing little by little. It will become firmer and have good foliage. In this case, you will need to equip it with a larger container in which to move it.
You will continue to do the same as your tree grows in size and height. However, you must keep in mind that it needs a certain amount of humidity depending on its size. Furthermore, if you live in a warm enough environment, you can feed your tree directly in the garden.
