As we use and wash our towels, they lose their original softness and shine . Due to the limestone present in the water that settles between their fibers, and due to daily use, they become increasingly rigid, but what can you do with them if you no longer want to use them? To throw them away? It is not necessary, fortunately, there are tricks to recycle these old towels. You can reuse them as a cloth, to use when, for example, a liquid is spilled, especially since towels absorb liquids very well. But not only that, you can also recycle them in more creative ways.
Turn old towels into oven mitts
You can turn your towels into oven gloves. In what way? It’s very simple, just take an old glove and use it as a template to draw it on a piece of cardboard. Then cover it with the towel, which should be thick, and cut two pieces that you can sew. If you don’t know much about sewing, you can cut the old towel into square pieces that you can then fold in half and use as protection when removing the trays from the oven.

Make bathroom slippers with your old towels
To avoid stepping on the cold floor when you get out of the shower, and not getting it wet, you can use a towel transformed into a bath slipper. To do this, use the sole of a pair of shoes that you do not use and that will serve as a template. Then cut out the piece of napkin that fits the sole of the shoes and secure it with glue. You wait for them to dry and you end up joining them with a needle and thread.
Give your old towels a second chance by making bath gloves
Another idea to give your old towels a second life is to turn them into a glove to exfoliate your skin in the shower. To make your glove, you will have to repeat the same gesture as for the kitchen glove, so you will only have to cut two pieces of towel (preferably rough to better exfoliate the skin) and sew them together to obtain your glove.
