Dirty oven glass? here’s the trick that will drive you crazy

There are many surfaces to clean at home, many more than we think: including the oven glass.

Oven glass   has a much more complex structure than traditional glass. Its main function is to resist the high temperatures of the device. So it is a very resistant material. It is also called tempered glass   and there are different types: transparent, light brown and frosted.

But whatever the glass, this surface must be cleaned after each use.

Clean the oven glass

The glass plate that is part of the home oven door is always subject to   stains from grease,   oils and other liquids. Stains remain even after using the  oven several times. This is why it is important to clean the internal glass after each use: to avoid the formation of persistent encrustations which make cleaning work very tiring and boring.

Additionally, over time, the glass plate may also start to smell bad due to accumulated grease. If grease and scale are already present, there are a couple of   natural ways   to get rid of them.

Baking soda for cleaning and deodorizing

To clean the glass plate we only need two ingredients:   water and baking soda   . All you have to do is create a simple mixture, respectively   1/2 cup of baking soda   in a liter of water and rub it on the glass.

Then dry it with a clean, dry cloth. If the operation doesn’t work the first time, don’t be discouraged because the operation can be repeated several times until the   scale disappears. In more serious cases, let the foamy   bicarbonate mixture act   on the glass for a few minutes. Then clean with the dry cloth.

Baking soda   is   a great household cleaning and laundry product, but many fear it due to its   abrasive properties   . Don’t worry because it can be used safely on   oven glass without any risk   .

White wine vinegar to clean oven glass

Another great natural product is white wine vinegar. It is used for many household jobs, therefore also for degreasing tempered glass. Its characteristics are similar to bicarbonate, but it is not abrasive.

It will be sufficient to create a mixture with a liter of water and a cup of   white vinegar,   and then apply it for about 15 minutes on the oven glass, obtaining optimal results. Don’t worry if the smell of the product is very strong: it will disappear as soon as it dries.
