Above all, it is worth paying some attention  to the small red and yellow spiders  : they really seem to be the most feared, as they waste no time attacking various crops and plants such as tomatoes.

It is undoubtedly important to know how to recognize when this happens, but how?

Let’s start by saying that  mites,  as you well know, are really tiny and usually feed on plant sap through their  mouthparts  .

When they reproduce it is really difficult to notice because the eggs produced cannot even be seen due to how small they are.

As we have already mentioned, among the worst mites we undoubtedly have the small  yellow and red spiders and the eriophyids.

The prey of the former seems to be stone fruit trees, apple trees, pear trees, etc.

Greenhouses are undoubtedly among the most affected crops  :  after all, mites constantly develop thanks to the  high temperatures  .

How to recognize your attacks and how to eliminate them

But how can we recognize their attacks? It is difficult, especially in the initial phase and we said why:  they are very small.

However, there is a way to take the long view: look  at the underside of the leaves.

Do you notice any small red or yellow dots? Surely then they are  on the attack.

If you are in a stronger phase you should also notice a yellow color on the front of the leaf and the leaves should look dry, precisely because these mites deprive them of their sap.

How to get rid of it?

If these pests need heat, you could try  watering your plants  . In this way the eggs will die, however, in this regard it must be said that this can cause diseases in the plants.

So perhaps it would be wise to avoid this method and use insecticides  ,  such as  Zetor or Borneo  , which are especially suitable for eliminating spider mite eggs.

There would also be another alternative: fighting mites with fungi such as Naturalis, Bonero PFnPE, to create a kind of  protection against said mites.

Plus, think about it, even some insects can fight them: take  ladybugs  , which can eat eggs. In short, we are talking about various alternatives; It’s up to you to choose the one that inspires you the most.
