If you have wooden furniture, you cannot help but take these precautions: your furniture will shine again and look like new.

In fact, after a while, you will surely experience negative changes: the original clarity will be compromised and everything will seem more opaque. The problem also concerns the formation of cracks after the use of water. Humidity, water, termites, all elements that damage our beloved furniture. You may be wondering how to care for wooden surfaces: below we illustrate  a reliable and established technique.

Wooden furniture, between aesthetics and functionality

Wooden furniture is a decorative accessory that can give  a lot of class and elegance to our homes  . There are several shades of color and several styles: we can choose wooden furniture with a modern style or those that are reminiscent of bygone times. In any case, it is a winning choice when it comes to furnishing your home. A winning but also challenging choice, since  keeping wood shiny is not an easy practice  , you run the risk of making the furniture look neglected and low quality if proper precautions are not taken. It is a material that requires  special and specific care:  it is not enough to use a damp cloth when cleaning the house.

Polish wooden furniture with this product

When it comes to cleaning wooden furniture, you also have to think about protecting it from environmental factors such as humidity. There are very effective remedies that you can create yourself at home, without having to resort to purchasing mostly aggressive and toxic commercial products. The home remedy that we propose consists of the use of two easily available ingredients:  beeswax and turpentine.

Beeswax is a  natural wax,  produced by bees and can be used in dozens of different ways. Through this product, candles, cosmetics, medicines and many other products are created. One of its best-known characteristics is that it is a polish  for furniture  and materials of all kinds. It is highly advisable for wood, its use tends to restore its shine.  Turpentine,  on the other hand, is a famous solvent that is mainly used to clean brushes, to dilute paints and give them more shine.

To polish our wooden furniture we will have to  combine these two ingredients:  the first step is to melt the beeswax in a bain-marie, mixing carefully.  50ml of product  will be enough. When it has completely dissolved we will move on to the second step which consists of adding  50ml of turpentine.  The dose should be three or four tablespoons. After carefully mixing the two products, place a small amount  on a microfiber cloth  and gently rub the furniture surfaces. You won’t believe your eyes: every surface will shine again and regain its original shine.  With this small gesture you will give your home an elegant and renewed look.
