If you want to peel chestnuts quickly, you should  make a small cut in the  horizontal curved part of the shell with a small knife before cooking. Boil enough water in a large, tall saucepan, then add the chestnuts and  boil them for up to 2 or 3 minutes  .

Once you notice that the skin changes color, it will mean that they have absorbed enough water, so once the water has been removed, it is best to rub them  with a clean cloth.

In a non-stick frying pan, heat  the chestnuts over high heat,  if possible with the marked side facing up so that they cook evenly.

Put the lid on and check at intervals; As soon as the outer skin is well lifted, remove the chestnuts from the pan.
