With this remedy I don’t waste money and the wood of my furniture comes back like new!

Heat stains on wood  are a real headache. Furniture made from this material is undoubtedly valuable: whether it is so-called “poor” works of art, valuable antiques or modern furniture, it warms the atmosphere and makes the house more welcoming. Unfortunately, however,  they need continuous attention and care , because they are “living” furniture, they need special products, to be fed and they fear excessive infiltration of heat, water and humidity.

In particular, if we place a cup or pot that is too hot on the table, we inadvertently risk ruining it significantly. Aesthetics can be compromised by persistent traces. Prevention is a must, of course! But once the damage is done, you have to think about fixing it! Doing it is not impossible, there are special tricks: wax or wood oil can come to our rescue, but  there are also even more valid and effective alternatives,  which cost nothing or almost nothing and do not require the intervention of a professional.

Let’s see how to do it.

I don’t spend any more money getting rid of heat stains on wood.

When we carelessly  place a boiling pot on our wooden table without any protection, we will surely remember it for a long time : the heat stain will be fixed in eternal memory, or maybe not! We can remedy almost everything with grandma’s tricks, we just need to know them and know how to use them at the right time.

To get rid of a burn we have more than one opportunity!

Let’s try  baking soda and prepare a cream , adding water in a splash, just enough to get the right consistency. At this point, spread it over the stain and  let it sit for at least ten minutes , before rinsing.

Toothpaste can also serve our purpose, but let it dry completely for a few days before removing it. We give him time to do his slow work.

It’s amazing to even think about it, but  iron can work wonders.  We’re going to turn it on, but we’re going to exclude the steam and set it to medium power. Place a clean cloth over the compromised part and wipe it for a few minutes, lifting the cloth from time to time to check the trace regression status.

Finally, by the same principle, the  hair dryer , if properly calibrated, solves the root problem. Point it a few centimeters from the stain and move it up and down, as we would do to dry our hair.

Once the most suitable method has been chosen, at the end of the operation, we hydrate the wood with a special oil, or simply with olive oil, to restore its former splendor and unify the complexion.

Easy, right?
