Easily remove a scratch on your car

Removing a deep scratch on your bodywork yourself is almost impossible, but for micro-scratches and superficial scratches, it is easy to make them disappear using simple, easy-to-hand products.

Here are some quick and cheap tips to solve this problem.

Baking soda

Perfect solution for localized scratches on windows, lights or windshield. To do this, take a wet sponge and some baking soda, then scrub gently. Remove excess with a soft, dry cloth. Don’t be afraid of making the scratch worse by opting for this method, because baking soda is very non-abrasive.

clay

Perfect for removing shallow scratches on the bodywork. Wrap your finger in a clean, dry cloth then rub the Clay stone. All you have to do is gently scrub the scratch marks. You can do the same thing with non-granular toothpaste.

Cigarette ashes

In case of a scratch that does not go beyond the paint layer, take cigarette ash on a damp cloth and then rub in circular motions. This helps to erase the micro scratch and fade it in less time than it takes to say it.

Polishing cream for wooden furniture

A dab of this product on a microfiber cloth will be enough to erase a scratch on the body of your car. Shine guaranteed!

The scratch eraser, the polishing red, the special touch-up pen…  are all specialized products. Furthermore, this type of touch-up pen works best with classic colors. If your car is quite a special color, you may not find the exact paint color in the pen range, so repainting the damaged area is still necessary to fill in these unsightly scratches.
