Say goodbye to stripes on the floor! With just 3 tablespoons everything will shine

If streaks on the floor are what bothers you , the main  problem  lies not  so much in the detergent you use or the way you brush the mop, but  in the mop itself.

Let’s assume that, whatever the material,  it would be advisable to use a neutral and natural detergent : Marseille soap, dissolved in a bucket of warm water, for example, is perfect on any surface. In the most resistant ones, we can also adopt a solution based on vinegar or baking soda, until they are mixed for an even more decisive cleaning and degreasing effect.

But having said that, we are not always satisfied with the results we obtain and we notice imperfections, as if the wipe had left its mark.

So let’s go over it a second time, with even worse results!

How to prevent this from happening? Simply with a handful of salt!

Let’s see together how to do it.

Say goodbye to stripes on the floor! All you need is a handful of this natural ingredient!

If, after having passed the scoop thoroughly, traces and halos persist, we do not start washing again, it is completely useless! The point is that, in all likelihood , the mop itself is so dirty that it leaves a mark of its passage.

Although we rinse it every time and make sure we have removed the dirt, this is not always the case, quite the opposite. We must remember that dust and  black  from surfaces, mixed with water and detergent,  penetrate between the textures of the cloth and impregnate it  deeply.

When passing it over the surfaces, we do nothing more than move that  grayish mixture that  allows the formation of halos.

To thoroughly clean and disinfect it,  use salt.  Pour 3 tablespoons into a bucket full of hot water  and melt, stirring with the mop. Then let it soak for at least an hour.  The purifying action of salt will annihilate all bacteria. Once the necessary time has passed, rinse it well under the tap to remove all traces of dirt and sodium chloride and let it air dry.

These steps must be repeated weekly  to ensure a perfect wash.

We can also use salt to remove rust, just dilute it in white wine vinegar, or on furniture, to remove stains, but with the addition of a little olive oil to nourish them.

In short, let us always remember that this gift from nature ensures deep sanitization of any surface. Let’s not spend our money unnecessarily on purchasing expensive industrial products, when it is enough to open the pantry to find what is right for us and preserve savings and the environment!
