The toothpaste tube is often the cause of family fights! In each couple there are those who squeeze it carefully and those who use it without paying too much attention to the exact point where to crush. Therefore, we often end up with debris at the bottom that is difficult to escape.
But let’s not make a tantrum out of it! Let’s take a deep breath and adopt this cool trick!
Toothpaste tube: how to use it down to the last residue
To be able to use the tube of toothpaste to the last residue, all we have to do is get two cotton swabs and two elastic bands for narrow and small braids.
Fix the sticks towards the cotton head with the first elastic band, place them on the tube and close the opposite side with the other elastic band. In this way we will have created a homemade toothpaste squeezer that is very useful for getting all the product out. All we have to do is slide it towards the exit to collect every last minimum amount.
But once we’re done, let’s not throw it away just yet!
Alternative uses of toothpaste
Equip yourself with scissors and cut it into strips.
At this point, let’s open them. We will still find some toothpaste on the inner plastic.
We can use these small pieces of plastic as if they were sponges to clean and polish some everyday objects.
Let’s pass them over the cutlery, for example: then let them sit for at least an hour, then rinse. Even the most stubborn halos will magically disappear.
A similar argument can also be applied to those glass lids with aluminum rims.
Grease, oil, oil or food often settles in the crack and is difficult to remove.
With the help of our trusty toothpaste, it will be easy to squeeze into tight spaces!
Even white leather shoes can be left immaculate with a knob of this paste, especially if it contains those abrasive grains that allow you to whiten your teeth. Obviously, this trick can be extended to all leather and eco-leather shoes and bags.
Toothpaste works almost like ink whitewash, but first test it on a circumscribed and not too visible area to verify that the material reacts well and is not damaged.
Even stains on the carpet will no longer be an obvious problem if we apply a small amount of product to the affected area! Rub gently and rinse with a damp cloth…
Brilliant, right? Obviously, if you need more product than the amount remaining on the strips, you can use a new tube and an old toothbrush to take advantage of all the properties of this truly extraordinary paste, not only for our dental hygiene!
