Lime in the taps Goodbye with the bag method
Limescale on faucets is not only unsightly, but often blocks the flow of water.
These are mineral salts contained in the water itself that are deposited over a long period of time and become as hard as stones. The sink, bidet, shower head and hand shower are affected by it.
But to solve this problem without calling a professional, without disassembling anything and without chemicals, you can use the bag method.
It will take you just 5 minutes to prepare, a whole night to let it sit, and the next day you will enjoy pure, clear, roaring water.
Let’s see together how to do it.
Lime in the taps Goodbye with the bag method
To implement the bag method and free your faucets from lime deposits, get:
- A durable plastic bag
- an elastic band or tape
- half a glass of baking soda
- 2 glasses of white wine vinegar
Open a plastic bag wide and pour the vinegar into it. Now add the baking soda and wait for the chemical reaction to take place. A natural effervescence will form, let it evaporate completely, then connect the bag to the compromised faucet, so that the filter is submerged and remains in contact with the liquid. You can simply tie it, or secure it with an elastic band, or even with adhesive tape, preferably insulating. You have to make sure it can stay in place for many hours!
Let it act all night. The next day, untie the bag, scrub with a toothbrush to remove debris, then turn on the water and let it run to completely free the filter.
Vinegar has a really effective anti-limescale power, but it is not the only product you can use.
If you have purchased citric acid to soften your clothes, you can pour 4 tablespoons into the bag, along with 2 glasses of water and a teaspoon of baking soda, then proceed as described above.
The next day, when you remove the bag, use the mixture to clean the toilets: you will love its whitening power!
What are you waiting for? At no cost and without any maintenance, you can free your taps from limescale forever!
