Washing machine filter: if you want to keep it in excellent condition, clean it like this!
The washing machine is one of the most essential appliances in the home, but if we want it to continue working correctly we must take care of it.
Certainly, each of us will put in place constant maintenance to dissolve lime and internal scale. The most health-conscious women on the planet have long turned to vinegar or baking soda. A glass of the former or a tablespoon of the latter in the basket and detergent drawer is enough to guarantee a thorough cleaning. Start a vacuum cycle at high temperatures and you will say goodbye to any problem.
But once a year it is also good to take care of the exhaust filter.
Here are the tricks to get it back to new!

Buttons, paper, pins and, if you have small children, even toys left in pants or apron pockets end up in the exhaust filter. This can eventually clog it and cause damage.
To make it look like new, unplug the device, locate its casing, place a container underneath to collect water and if you can’t, place rags and towels on the floor to prevent it from flooding.
Gently open the door and take it out.
Now, clean it of larger objects, then soak it in a solution of vinegar and water, in equal amounts. Let it sit for at least 3 or 4 hours, then scrub it with an old toothbrush to remove any residue and rinse it.
You can also use baking soda. In this case, first make a paste: put a teaspoon in a bowl and add water to create a kind of gel. Soak the toothbrush and remove a certain quality, then scrub the filter well to dissolve lime and scale. Once this is done, prepare a bowl with warm water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda and let it soak for about 2 hours. Rinse well and replace.
But first, clean its casing too!
Open the door, take a microfiber cloth, dampen it in vinegar, wrap it and place it inside. Turn it over several times to collect all the accumulated dirt, then rinse it with the same method, but with a cloth simply dampened with water, finally dry it with a cloth.
At this point, all you have to do is reassemble it: reinsert the filter and screw it on tightly, making sure the gasket is correctly positioned to avoid flooding the house. Close the door and remember to do this at least once a year.
The proper functioning of the washing machine is at stake!
