Soak the vegetables in water for a few days to grow roots and then you can plant them in pots or in your garden. Here are some ingenious tips to make with leftover fruit and vegetables.
Leftover pineapple stems
Remove the leaves that are close to the fruit and place the stem in water for a few days. The roots will start to emerge and when they are long enough, you can plant the stem to have a new pineapple.
Celery
Remove the root and place it in about 3 inches of water. After a few days, new leaves will appear at the top and some small roots at the bottom. At this point you can plant it in a small pot.
Ginger
Choose a ginger bark full of bumps and plant it in the ground with the bumps facing up.
Garlic
Take some large garlic cloves , remove the layer surrounding the germ and then plant them in the soil with the germ facing upwards. Space each garlic tooth about six inches apart.
Green onions
Cut the roots of the onions , put them in a glass of water and place it in a sunny place. In a few days, small leaves will appear! You can plant onions in small pots or in the vegetable garden.
Round onions
Just plant the bulb in the ground and wait for it to grow!
