Having limescale in the shower is annoying and also does not allow the right amount of water to be dispensed. There is an infallible remedy that few people know about and it should be tried immediately.
Limescale is a silent enemy that affects every surface in the house, especially the shower. When this happens, the encrustations disfigure the surface and the water is not supplied correctly. For this reason, many people resort to remedies that are particularly polluting and rich in chemical components to avoid. Among the natural remedies, one in particular is able to revolutionize the concept of limescale by removing it immediately.
SHOWER FULL OF LIMESCALE, WHAT ARE THE CAUSES?
The change of season is never kind and you realize how much limescale has affected the surfaces, from the shower to the sink and so on. A thorough cleaning of the house is carried out once every three/four months and the limescale continually reforms.
This happens because the correct products are not used, preferring those rich in pollutants and very dangerous chemical agents that corrode surfaces without removing traces of limescale. It is preferable to adopt an immediate , but completely natural and non-corrosive solution.
But what are the causes of limescale formation in the shower? This material is naturally present following the erosion of the rocks during the passage of water from the mountain down to the valley. The hardness of water is made up of the quantity of calcium and magnesium salts.
The hotter the water, the greater the crystallization of the limestone which releases a clearly visible white patina. The cause of limescale is the hardness of the water, with the calcium and magnesium ions that are already present inside it and solidify when the temperature is very hot.
The damage manifests itself as encrustations , corrosion of the pipes and completely ruined surfaces.
Limescale in the shower: the remedy to eliminate it
As mentioned, it would be best not to use any product with added chemical elements that could damage the surfaces more. For this reason we resort to natural remedies with citric acid , which can be bought online or in specialized shops.
Just a few grams are enough to remove limescale, combined with organic dish detergent with natural ingredients and distilled water. How to do?
- Pour 400 grams of distilled water into a spray container
- Add 100 grams of citric acid and 10 grams of organic dish soap
- Close with the cap and shake well so that all the ingredients can mix and dissolve. Now the mixture can be sprayed directly on the limestone present in the shower, leaving it to act for 10 minutes before rinsing well, eliminating any residue.
This operation can be repeated once a month and in any case every time the limescale is about to reform.
