TOILET PAPER, WHY DOES EVERYONE LEAVE IT IN THE FRIDGE? IT MAKES YOU SAVE IN A FEW MINUTES

Toilet paper is important and fundamental, so much so that it is one of those goods that can never be missing in the home. However, many people are leaving it in the refrigerator: here’s the reason and why we should all do it.

You can forget about  buying everything at the supermarket , but never toilet paper. It is an indispensable must and is a great discovery that occurred in the past, specifically to facilitate everyone’s personal hygiene and beyond. In recent times, many people have started  putting it in the fridge : this is why it saves in a few minutes and why we should all do it.

WHO INVENTED TOILET PAPER?

It is a very interesting story, because  since primitive times  man has always sought shelter for his needs and different ways of personal cleanliness. After making a hole in a flat rock, primitive man went to the stream: no scholar has been able to understand what he did during the winter, but he certainly used his imagination among leaves and twigs.

The  Ancient Egyptians  opted for sand rich in scented oils, while the Arabs used their left hand (still considered impure today) to then wash it. The first appearance of something similar to paper dates back to the 14th century in China, but only after half a century did Westerners also begin to abandon the leaves and  use newspaper sheets.

In 1158 the nobles used fabrics made from old clothes, while toilet paper arrived in the eighteenth century trying to change gradually over time. According to some documents and articles, the inventor of  our toilet paper  is Joseph C. Gayetty from New York.

An invention that was celebrated on the front pages of every newspaper, highlighting it as one of the greatest  discoveries of the century . His goal was to sell the paper because it was able to eradicate hemorrhoids forever: it didn’t exactly go that way, but it must be said that his paper has had a worldwide success up until today.

Before rolls, it was sold in  rectangular strips  and then went into mass production and various types of inventions began. The rolls appeared in 1879 thanks to the idea of the Scott Paper Company, and then produced the two-ply one to be thrown down the toilet in 1942.

Needless to say, it was  considered a luxury product  for a very long time, until it became a common good at an affordable price.

Toilet Paper In The Refrigerator, What Is It For?

After this necessary dive into history, let’s return to the present day and why to put toilet paper in the refrigerator (especially if the type with three plies). Just place a small quantity, with its  cardboard tube , on the refrigerator shelf to immediately notice a big change.

This method is optimal for eliminating all persistent odors from the refrigerator, precisely because the  cellulose absorbs without releasing it . The paper in question is made up of porous tissues, which capture moisture particles, eliminating excess water and bad odors.

If you don’t want to use toilet paper, you can also opt for sheets of newspaper to moisten and place in the  inside corners of the refrigerator .
