Wrap the foil around the door handle – here’s why!

The aluminum foil around the front door handle is a miracle. Because? Everything in its time, let’s first try to understand the potential of this object, which is now more than a century old.

Aluminum foil appeared for the first time in Switzerland in 1910. His invention will be given to the owner of the Dr. Attributed to Lauber-Werks Neher & Cie, which produced tin paper for food packaging.

By refining the material and thickness, he developed this truly innovative and crucial product, capable of preserving, protecting and cooking food perfectly.

What does all this have to do with the door handle? Let’s check it out now!

The aluminum foil around the front door handle is ominous!

House handles look durable, but are still subject to wear and tear. If we think about it, we hold them every day, multiple times, and the material oxidizes from friction, cold, heat and moisture. This makes them appear scratched, scratched and blackened.

So we do our best to bring them back as new, but we risk making the situation worse by highlighting the flaws. Some cleaners are in fact too aggressive and cannot really polish the surfaces, but rather make them dull and ruined.

Foil, on the other hand, is able to restore them to their former glory. Not alone, but in combination with other natural remedies that are always present in our pantries.

Therefore, get the following:

  • 2 teaspoons vinegar;
  • 1 tablespoon dishwashing detergent;
  • 1 kitchen sponge;
  • and of course 1 piece of aluminum foil.

In a small bowl, mix vinegar and dish soap. Dip the sponge in this solution, wring it out, and run it over the handle or handles to be cleaned. Take the opportunity to wash the entire door, but first place a towel at the bottom of the door as the foam can make the floor wet.

Now wrap the handle or knob with aluminum foil so that it is completely covered.

Leave it on for about ten minutes, then remove it and dry it with a soft and clean microfiber cloth.

Every scratch, every oxidation, every small defect will disappear and you will enjoy your doors as if they were new!

Brilliant, right?!
