If you intend to abandon the iron, there is a foolproof method to have the clothes ready to fold.
Ironing requires time, energy and, no less, electricity consumption. In these times when we try as much as possible to avoid high bills, we often look for alternative methods to avoid the use of some appliances.
In the case of iron, there is a foolproof method to abandon it. Let’s see what this is about
How to avoid ironing
More and more people are trying to avoid iron. They are not because of an economic issue but also because of the time it takes to iron clothes and the waste of energy.
There are those who swear by the dryer, which in most cases produces soft clothes with very few wrinkles.
Without a doubt, one of the most common solutions is to choose an anti-wrinkle wash, if the washing machine provides it, or program a spin cycle of a few revolutions.
Another widely adopted and very useful solution for most garments is to hang the clothes well, take them out of the washing machine as soon as the wash is finished and, if necessary, hang them on hangers.
A trick to compensate for collars or cuffs that don’t fit quite right could be to “iron” them with a hair straightener, just to catch whatever might come out of the jacket or sweater.
But if this were not enough, there is a method that can be used with freshly washed clothes, and that involves the use of products normally present in every home.
The “do it yourself” method to eliminate the use of the iron
The method proposed below is simple to implement and equally simple to use. The only thing you will need is water, white vinegar, a little hair conditioner, preferably white, and a container with a spray dispenser.
The procedure consists of dissolving a tablespoon of white vinegar and a teaspoon of hair conditioner in one and a half cups of water. Mix everything well and pour the solution into a container with the sprayer. To use this method, it is essential to hang the clothes well once the washing cycle of the washing machine or, if used, the dryer has finished. If there are wrinkles on the clothes, once they are dry you can use the mixture you have made. To do this you will have to hang the clothes on a hanger and start spraying the solution on the parts that have wrinkles. Now you just have to wait for it to dry completely to check that the wrinkles have disappeared.
A similar method is also useful for hanging wrinkled sheets. Use a cup of hot water to pour into the spray bottle and 1 teaspoon of fabric softener. Mix everything well and then sprinkle it on the wrinkled leaves. It is important that the spray nozzle does not have a drip stream but is very uniform. At this point proceed to spread the leaves by hand and wait for them to dry.
