Carrying out cleaning may seem like a simple and banal thing but this is not the case, it is a procedure for which you need to take the right amount of time and which requires precise steps carried out only with specific products . Incorrect cleaning could even have the opposite effect and therefore ruin our beloved electronic instruments.
In this guide we will give simple instructions for cleaning screens in the right way.
Cleaning screens: what to use and how to proceed
Not everyone knows the right procedures for cleaning their electronic devices, in fact there are not rare cases of those who carry out this operation roughly, obtaining the opposite effect and even damaging the objects.
This happens not only if you don’t know how to proceed but also if you use the wrong products.
So let’s start by saying what you absolutely must avoid . First there are the chemicals such as alcohol, ammonia and acetone. These are great enemies of electronic accessories and can even deform their components. Overly aggressive detergents such as degreasers, anti-limescale products, glass cleaning products and micellar water should also generally be avoided , because they are not suitable and may contain harmful additives.
Again, paper napkins and make-up remover wipes should absolutely not be considered. Instead, those specific to cleaning displays are much better and today they can be found practically everywhere.
Instead, it is advisable to get a toothbrush with soft bristles , a microfibre cloth and a spray based on isopropyl alcohol or alternatively a mixture based on water and white vinegar .
Let’s now move on to the actual procedure, which is very simple whether we are talking about PCs or smartphones. In both cases it is advisable to remove the dust with the toothbrush or a soft brush, then we spray the aqueous solution on the screen and wipe the microfibre cloth, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
To finish, we dry with the dry part of the microfibre cloth.
The advice is not to use too much cleaning product to avoid infiltrations: two sprays are sufficient.
