Lush poinsettia, this is how it multiplies from the leaves – it will bloom for months

There is a method to have a leafy poinsettia and multiply it using its leaves making it bloom for months. Here’s how to proceed.

During the Christmas period there is a  plant  that spreads exponentially to such an extent that it also becomes a floral tribute to give to a family member or a person to whom we want to show our appreciation.

It is the  Poinsettia  , also known as poinsettia but whose real name is  Euphorbia pulcherrima  and is characterized by its large flowers and red color, although it can be found in the white variation.

Poinsettia: this is how it multiplies infinitely

This plant is reminiscent of Christmas due to its main color, red and green, and that is why it is used to represent the Christmas holidays and brighten our homes.

Its leaves, as well as its  flowers  , are milky and it is often not recommended to take animals to this plant due to the toxic function it could have on the organism of our four-legged friends.

This ornamental plant is also used at other times of the year and its cost can often be very high, although there are also inexpensive versions in supermarkets.

However, not everyone knows that there is a method to multiply it indefinitely using its leaves and always have it in good condition and leafy even in the hottest months of the year where temperatures reach peaks that are not ideal for its growth.

The procedures

To proceed, we must carefully remove a leaf from our  Poinsettia  and remove the  stem  with a cutter so that only the leaf remains from which we will remove the stem from the back.

To do this, we use a  cutter  and, being careful not to cut ourselves, we file the back of the  leaf  on the side of the petiole that will be completely removed.

Once this is done, we take a clove of garlic or rub it on the part that we have removed, then on the back of the leaf so that it absorbs the garlic that we have added well.

After this, we take a  beet  and cut it into slices and after having had a few slices we put them on top of a soil, placing the leaves on it and then we cover the whole with more soil.

We water everything regularly and after  30 days  we see what happened. The leaves of the  Poinsettia  will have developed roots and we are going to insert the leaf, placing the roots from below, into the soil.

Once this is done, we are going to water everything periodically and we will see that little by little the first glimpse of  a poinsettia will begin to appear  until it grows with lush and very showy flowers.

This method is useful to multiply our plant infinitely and we can do it many months in advance so that we can grow poinsettia flowers  ,  which we can give as gifts during the holidays.

With this method you can also multiply other types of plants, although not all of them involve the use of beets.
