There are several remedies to put into practice to solve the yellowing of t-shirts, let’s see which ones.
White vinegar: it is usually used both in household cleaning and in the washing machine. Excellent from every point of view. But if you want to whiten the t-shirts you have to soak them overnight in a container of water with the addition of a glass of white vinegar. In the morning rinse everything and proceed with normal washing in the washing machine. If you wish, you can add an additional cup of white vinegar to the detergent and, if you wish, a few drops of the essential oil of your choice.
Lemon juice: to use this whitening system with t-shirts, it is also necessary to take a container with hot water and squeeze the filtered juice of two lemons into it. Wait about 7 hours and then wash it in the washing machine.
Baking soda: this product certainly could not be missing. Simply soak the clothes in water with three tablespoons of baking soda or, alternatively, pop a measuring spoon into the washing machine. You will immediately notice the difference.
Marseille soap: same procedure for this product as well. Hot water and two tablespoons of Marseille soap flakes or one in the drum of the washing machine. It will also give the shirts a pleasant aroma.
Sodium percarborate: it is a slightly more aggressive product and should only be added during machine washes. Half a tablespoon will be enough during washing and its whitening action will be unleashed.
Hydrogen peroxide: this is 10 volume hydrogen peroxide , you need 3 tablespoons of product in the sink with hot water or two in the machine wash. It is also excellent for pre-treatment of white fabrics.
