In winter there is never a shortage of candles at home, in fact there are also those who light them in spring or summer because they create a magnificent atmosphere. Especially now that we are approaching Christmas, there is never a shortage  of red, gold and silver candles at home, not even on the table.

On the other hand, a beautiful colored candle, ready to create a magnificent atmosphere, makes everything more magical, dinners are evocative and romantic as well as festive. But be careful because they can suddenly become something really very unpleasant.

Be careful when using candles, they can be very dangerous

The candles melt slowly, when they are extinguished and moved to free the table or shelf on which they are placed, care must be taken because the wax tends to slip. If it falls on clothes it ruins them,  sometimes irreparably, sometimes not.

A wax stain on clothes is undoubtedly a big problem, but it has a solution. You have to know how and what to do because there are methods that work, but it is important to do everything with extreme delicacy and others to be absolutely excluded.

For example, one cannot fail to follow the recommendation not to act on hot wax and above all to  stay as far away as possible from cold water. This is the worst remedy there is.

Rather, you should wait until the stain has completely dried and then be patient and follow your grandmother’s advice, unique remedies.

Remedies to remove wax stains from various fabrics

The first remedy that generally solves any problem is: take a dull knife, follow the contour of the wax stain, rub delicately only externally and slowly lift the machine present on the fabric.

So, turn on the dryer, set it to maximum temperature, direct the air directly on the stain, keeping  the device at least 10 cm away. Little by little the wax melts with the heat, so it is rubbed with absorbent paper.

The system works, but you can well imagine that there may be last minute unforeseen events that can permanently ruin the garment, so be careful.

Finally, the last method that generally gives great satisfaction and that solves the problem in a very short time is the one that all grandmothers have used and  continue to use today.

This is iron. A cotton cloth is spread over the wax stain, then ironed, the cotton fabric absorbs the wax which slowly melts, just as happens when using a hair dryer  . Made.

Old wax stain, here are some good tips.

If the  wax stain   to be removed is colored, it is advisable to soak a cotton ball or a piece of cotton in ethyl alcohol and then wipe it over the stained surface.

Alcohol and cotton will completely dissolve the color. Immediately afterwards you can  proceed to washing in a washing machine,  avoiding high temperatures, especially if it is a delicate and already treated fabric.

However, if the wax stain is old, it is okay to simply use an ice cube. You take the bucket and place it directly on the stain. At this point you let it sit for a few minutes and then start scratching the wax  .

In this case, when it comes to washing, you can simply use water with a little soap. The garment will be like new without stress and without fear but above all  without spending a cent.

There are many products on the market suitable for removing special stains, they cost a lot and it is not necessarily true that they really work.
