Expired flour: don’t throw it away! My grandmother used it this way

At home, an ingredient that is never missing from your pantry is undoubtedly a  package of flour .

There are different types of flour  such as corn, spelled, chickpeas, wheat, barley, chestnuts and many other types. Each of these  can be used to create delicious and super attractive dishes in your kitchen . In fact, you can bake bread, pizzas or anything else you want. Everything you want to cook will be full of flavor.

However, what few people know is that  flour can also be used to clean your home  super effectively. So if you have noticed in your pantry that you have a  package of flour that has expired, you can recycle it and use it to clean your house .

My grandmother used it in many ways, she made a degreaser, a steel polisher, a dishwasher and even made glue. But let’s take a closer look.

Expired flour: my grandmother’s tricks to reuse it at home

With many natural products  it is possible to say goodbye to chemicals and clean your home naturally  and without ingredients that over time can harm your health and that of the environment around you. Our grandmothers knew a lot about this.

At the same time, few people know that  flour can also be used to clean the house . In fact, in this case  you can use any type of flour  such as 00 or 0, wholemeal, 1 and 2. With each of them  you can clean your house, obviously following the correct instructions and the correct steps . In fact, the object that you can clean and make shine like never before, with the help of flour, is definitely  steel .

To use it in the best way,  you just have to sprinkle flour on the steel and then you can clean it with a slightly damp sponge, also adding a drop of dish soap . Then you have to rub well with the  soft part of the sponge  and then  rinse . Finally, you have to  dry everything with a cloth and you will be able to see a  wonderful shine.

In addition, flour has the characteristic of having  drying and absorbing power,  so it can be very useful for  removing oil stains . To achieve this,  you need to put the flour on the stain  in such a way that it does not spread and therefore removing it does not become more difficult. Then you have to  leave the flour for a few minutes  and then with a  clean or damp cloth you can remove it .

Flour can also be used to  wash dishes along with soap . To use it  you have to use dish soap ,  2 tablespoons of flour and then soak everything in water . After that, you have to  wash the dishes normally  and you will immediately notice the  degreasing product  you just created. It will be super effective, in fact you can also  clean the dishes that seem more encrusted .

Don’t forget to mention that  flour can also replace glue . It seems strange, but flour can replace glue very well. If you want  to prepare this homemade glue you have to boil one and a half liters of water and then pour 100 grams of flour that you have already sifted . Afterwards, you must always stir so as to avoid the formation of lumps. Continue  cooking for 10 minutes  and then you will have made your homemade glue.

See how many things you can do? Now you will no longer throw away expired flour.

Good cleaning.
