This is how I clean my marble kitchen countertop: everything shines
The marble in the kitchen is very refined, elegant and chic. And it is enough on its own to furnish everything perfectly. But it is as beautiful as it is delicate!
Whether it is the table or the countertop, the risk of dirtying it is always very high: cooking or eating, splashes of grease, water, lime, are the order of the day.
We must treat the surface with great care, we could damage it irreparably.
The first rule to keep in mind is to leave the vinegar and lemon juice closed, with a double lock, almost in a safe. Being acidic and corrosive substances, they could penetrate its porosity and damage it without the possibility of recovery.
There are specific products on the market for cleaning, but certainly not decisive or even ad hoc for the type of stain present. However, in the pantry and in nature, we already have everything we need to make it look like new in just a few steps.

Properly Cleaning Your Marble Countertop: Here’s How to Proceed
The first clarification that must be made undoubtedly refers to the problem that your marble presents, distinguishing between the different types of stains.
For example, if it is only yellowish , especially when it is white, we will simply have to use a pumice stone to gently go over the surface. Once the desired result is obtained, we have it with a mixture of warm water and Marseille soap.
Are there oil or grease splashes? Dry the affected area with the appropriate paper, patting gently. We don’t rub! Prepare a cream based on cornstarch and baking soda , in equal proportions and quantities, pour the water in a trickle to create a kind of foam, spread it over the stain. Seal it with cellophane and let it sit for a whole day and night. The next day, we remove the aluminum foil and simply wash with a damp microfiber cloth. Gone!
Finally, if we are struggling with every housewife’s nightmare, limestone, let’s not be discouraged. Again, the solution is in the pantry. Pour a tablespoon of Marseille soap into a small bowl of warm water, add the baking soda and mix . Apply the mixture to the affected areas and gently scrub with an old toothbrush, using soft brushes. Leave it on for half an hour, rinse and dry!
