I put some in the fabric softener tub, you should too, it’s awesome!
Among the foods that are most useful even outside the culinary field, we undoubtedly find vinegar . Regardless of the type, apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, wine vinegar, we are talking about a product that is excellent for its properties and peculiarities. Vinegar is capable of eliminating odors, sanitizing, and even softening clothes in some cases. Its use can also be especially effective for the washing machine . It is known, in fact, that this device is often subject to the negative action of lime , which ruins the pipes and some mechanical parts, ending up causing them to break completely. Vinegar in the washing machine: use it like this
There are many benefits that vinegar can bring to our washing machine and in general to many machines that use water in the first place. The action is aimed at removing and preventing limescale. Many people, for example, use it for the dishwasher, spraying it directly on the dishes before washing them. Apart from this, it is necessary to know that vinegar is a very powerful natural descaler, thanks to its chemical characteristics, and that it may be able to effectively and preventively protect the pipes of household appliances.
But for the washing machine, how should it be used? A proper procedure must be followed. First of all, we could proceed by adding vinegar, perhaps white, directly into the fabric softener tray : let’s use it in the same amount that we will use for a traditional product, a generic fabric softener. At this point, start washing and that’s it: even just half a glass mixed with the same amount of water will be enough.
We would also like to point out that vinegar can be added directly at the beginning of the wash; Possibly we can also add it later, when the rinse cycle is running . Remember to never put vinegar directly in the detergent drawer, because its action would be completely in vain. We can also put a little white vinegar directly into the basket, proceeding to an empty wash. We can add half a glass and we will obtain excellent results to disinfect the entire environment and perfume it. Obviously, its action against limescale is now known and it has the same value even when inserted into the basket. If we want to achieve an even more effective and “aggressive” result, we use a mixture of vinegar and baking soda, in the drum, and perform an empty wash at 60°C. Seeing is believing!
