Easy and delicious canned garlic recipe


Do you love eating garlic? Try this easy and delicious garlic preserve from Melissa Mir! Adding it to your dishes will give them a boost of flavor and make them even tastier. It’s an easy recipe to make at home and keep for a year.

Ingredients:

  • 4.4 l of garlic
  • 1 chili pepper
  • a bunch of mint
  • a bunch of parsley
  • laurel
  • whole black pepper
  • paprika
  • coarse salt (1 teaspoon for each jar)
  • 70% vinegar (1 teaspoon for each jar)
  • boiling water
  • 

Instructions:

Phase 1:

Peel all the garlic and place it in a bowl.

Phase 2:

Chop the mint and chilli into small pieces and place in a food processor. Blend until finely chopped.

Step 3:

Take a sterilized jar and make sure it is clean. Add 1 bay leaf and a few whole black peppers, then fill with the garlic cloves. Make sure you add some space to the top so it doesn’t overflow. Repeat the operation with the other jars.

Step 4:

Add a spoonful of chopped mint and chilli pepper. Then add a spoonful of paprika. You can adjust the quantity according to your preferences. Repeat the operation for all the jars.

Step 5:

Step 6:

Fill each of them with boiling water up to the neck of the jar. After that, add a teaspoon of vinegar to each jar. Shake each jar a little to mix the ingredients.Image by Melissa Mir via Youtube

Step 7:

Cover each of them with the lid. Don’t close yet.

Step 8:

Take a large pot with hot water, then place a piece of cloth or towel on the bottom, so that the glass does not burst later. Place each jar inside the pot.

Step 9:

Place the pan on the heat and let it boil for about 15 minutes. Once the operation is finished, remove them from the pan, pat them dry and close the lid  tightly.  This can be stored in a cool place for a year.
