The toilet brush is an important bathroom accessory and its functions should never be underestimated. This tool is an essential component of the bathroom. It represents a valid tool to give an immediate cleaning to the toilet whenever the opportunity arises, whether you are in the bathroom at your house, or in the bathroom of someone else’s house.
How to clean the toilet brush in 2 minutes without touching it
There is no doubt that cleaning the brush and the toilet are not the most pleasant things to do at home. It is clear that they are among the things in the house that have perhaps the highest bacterial load. Knowing that you have to clean them with your hands, despite necessary precautions like gloves, is admittedly a little gross. Precisely because we are impressed to have it in our hands, we often deliberately forget it. Today, however, we have a revolutionary method that the famous Japanese, great technologists and exemplary efficiency, have left us; or disinfect the toilet brush without touching it with your hands and in just 2 minutes. This system involves the use of baking soda and white vinegar, two natural and easily available ingredients.
Place the toilet brush inside the toilet. Spray white vinegar on the surface of the brush, so that it is well covered.
Sprinkle baking soda on the surface of the toilet brush, being careful to cover all parts.
Let the vinegar and baking soda mixture sit for about 1 and a half to two minutes.
Pull the chain and you will notice that the brush will be clean and especially sanitized without touching it directly.
The baking soda acts as an abrasive to remove stuck-on dirt, while the acid in the vinegar helps loosen dirt and deposits on the toothbrush.
How to sanitize the toilet brush holder
Even the toilet brush holder must be sanitized, since germs and bacteria are deposited there, leaving behind the placement of the toilet brush. So here are some steps to clean the toilet brush holder:
Remove the toilet brush from the brush holder and clean it separately.
Use a soft bristle brush or an old toothbrush to remove dirt from the inner and outer surfaces of the brush holder.
Soak the brush holder in a solution of warm water and mild detergent or baking soda for about 30 minutes.
After the soaking time, rinse the brush holder with warm water and dry it well with a clean cloth.
If there are still stubborn residues or stains, you can use a specific detergent for bathroom cleaning or citric acid diluted in water to remove them.
