Marble floor: Be careful never to use these ingredients

The marble floors  are what give the house charm! But this type of floor, to maintain its shiny appearance, needs certain care and to avoid certain mistakes that can spoil it and make it dull.

It is very easy to accidentally choose the wrong method for caring for marble. Here are some mistakes to avoid!

Marble floors: this is what to avoid when cleaning them

When it comes to marble floors, we must remember that they are very delicate, and therefore it is  necessary to give up chemicals  . There are different types on the market, and they may be good for other types of materials, but marble floors are more delicate than average. With chemical products we run the risk of leaving indelible marks that are impossible to get rid of.

Furthermore, when we want to clean marble, we forget about  scrapers and brushes. The reason is simple, as with chemicals: there is a possibility of affecting the surface. Instead of toothbrushes we can use a wet sponge or chalk compress, as long as it is melted and reduced to pulp. All that remains is to put it on the marble floors and leave it for about three quarters of an hour.

Other products to take into account are  self-polishing products,  since if the dose used was not homogeneous, the final result would be unsightly. Instead, we opted for a pumice mix to add to the water. The important thing is to dry everything with a microfiber cloth.

Other products to avoid when cleaning marble floors

Let’s now go to the products that we usually use for cleaning. Vinegar   , lemon and  ammonia They are products that are too aggressive for marble floors.

To clean this type of floor and leave it looking like new, simply use  water with Marseille soap  or, alternatively,  hydrogen peroxide  to obtain the same desired effects.

Additionally, being delicate, marble floors need daily care, which involves sweeping them with soft bristles to avoid scratches. If we notice traces of dirt we try to  intervene immediately  . The accumulation of dirt would complicate general cleaning and we would have more effort during operation.
