The infallible trick to get rid of silicone mold in the bathroom

The   bathroom   is one of the rooms in our   house   that we use the most and where it is most important to pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene and to disinfect everything well. However, sometimes we put  too much emphasis on cleaning toilets and   marble countertops and neglect the silicones that prevent moisture from penetrating.  Because of this, it is easier for us to notice how they deteriorate and even become moldy over time. What can we do then? Here is   the infallible trick to remove mold from silicone in the bathroom.

The trick to removing mold from bathroom silicones

If you   want to remove mold from bathroom silicone,   you don’t have to go to the supermarket looking for a specific product, because even if there are some really effective ones, the truth is that in this case we can also resort to   a   natural  remedy   , which you can already have at home and which leaves the silicones as if you had just applied them.

Remember that even the special silicone for the bathroom, which is usually fungicidal and anti-mold, sooner or later spoils. Therefore, it is good to know the trick that we are going to tell you now and that will help you   postpone the moment   when it may be necessary to replace silicones with new ones.

Vinegar and baking soda to kill mold

Bathroom silicone can easily be affected by black mold, even if, as we say, it is specifically designed to prevent this type of problem. However, it is important to eliminate it because in addition to being harmful to the silicone itself, it also   poses  a risk to our health.

And to eliminate it, the best trick is the mixture of   white vinegar and bicarbonate,   whose combined natural acids are effective against fungi and mold, but take into account ceramic and silicone.

All you need to do is   mix three parts warm water with three parts white vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda   in a spray bottle. Shake the bottle and apply the mixture to the surface to be cleaned.  Leave it on for 30 minutes.

After this time, you need to scrub with a brush or scouring pad until you see that the mold has disappeared. Once you’re done, all you have to do is   rinse off the remaining mixture with a little hot water.

With this method you can see that the silicones in your bathroom look like new. However, if you want to prevent     mold from forming  again , all you have to do is soak the silicone with a little ammonia.
