How to Grow an Endless Supply of Onions

It would be really cool if every time you need fresh onion for your recipe or for a meal, you just go to your window and pick some up!

Sure, you can find them in every supermarket, but you may never have enough information about where they come from. I know I’d be happy to grow them year-round outdoors if I could, but that’s not an option for me who lives up north. You may be lucky enough to live in a climate that allows you to grow year-round, but there may be room. Well, I found a solution for everyone!

This is what you need

A 5 L plastic bottle.

A pair of tijeras

onion bulbs

From the earth

Water

Instructions

Start by cutting the neck of the plastic bottle.

Make some holes with scissors. The holes should be large enough for the onions.

Next, make sure the onion bulbs are placed through the holes.

Layer the soil and the bulbs, adding them until the bottle is full.

You can put the neck back (just tape it) or leave it like that.

Water the soil and place the bottle on the windowsill.

In no time, the onions will grow, you can watch them grow and then flavor your dishes with them. Enjoy!
