Where do mosquitoes enter the house? You would never have guessed: they come from here

Mosquitoes enter the house through this same place, which no one ever controls: it is unimaginable. Let’s clarify.

No one ever thinks about the fact that  mosquitoes in the house  may have a private hiding place. They hide and then emerge at a certain time, in search of food. Not only that, they lay their eggs and then continue their life within the same house. In short, coexistence with these insects is not desired but almost mandatory. Experts highlight their favorite place to  hide undisturbed.

Where do mosquitoes nest?

Summer is synonymous with mosquitoes  and bites, with colonies hidden in every corner of the house without anyone knowing. A 2021 report prepared by the Istituto Superiore della Sanità – Istisan Report – confirmed that to date there are more than 65 species of mosquitoes, the most common being undoubtedly the tiger and common mosquitoes.

Many  lay their eggs  in containers they find with stagnant water, as it is a perfect place to have as many insects as possible. To lay their eggs, mosquitoes prefer used buckets left with stagnant or damp water. Even a small amount of water can be a safe and optimal place to spawn.

There are also  watering cans, forgotten or left  with water ready to use. For mosquitoes they become favorite places to lay their eggs. Stagnation of water, especially in an external environment, becomes optimal for pH and also for temperature. Saucers that stagnate with water, with impurities favored by mosquitoes, or cans that have a small opening and are wet inside are no less.

Mosquitoes at home: where do the adults hide?

Once you understand where  these insects prefer to lay their eggs  , you should also understand where mosquitoes hide in the house. Adults always roost in places that are not identifiable or:

  • Beds, tables and chairs  underneath so that no one sees them. An optimal and essential place for these insects;
  • Homemade curtains, thanks to the open window. It hides in the folds and is comfortable when it has eaten;
  • High furniture, where you can fly so as not to be taken by humans. They are out of sight and can assess how to move.

In most cases,  mosquitoes  look for  all those places where there may be a lot of people. It is essential to create a blood reserve for their meals, but at the same time hide well so as not to be found. There is not a single mosquito in the house, but many more and cleverly hidden in all the places listed above.

It is impossible not  to have them at home  , but with some forethought you can limit their stay and above all make sure that they do not lay eggs.
