Mosquito candles do it yourself

Are your nights disturbed by mosquitoes? Don’t be afraid, you can create cheap and effective repellent candles!

In summer, mosquitoes are a real problem: they disturb our nights with their buzzing and biting. There are many products on the market with the aim of eliminating them but many times the cost is high or we are not sure of their composition. We can create repellent candles with very few ingredients to place at home to guarantee peaceful nights.

Necessary

  • Jars, glass VDI
  • Cera natural crystals
  • Locks
  • Pots
  • wooden stick or clothespin
  • lemongrass essential oil

Procedure

  1. Fix the wick to the bottom of the container and wrap it around a wooden stick that you will place on the edge: this way the wick will be straight.
  2. Melt the wax in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. When the wax is completely dissolved, add 10-20 drops of lemongrass essential oil
  4. Finally, pour the wax into the jar and let it cool.
  5. Once it reaches solid consistency, it is ready to be lit and placed in the house or on the windowsill to keep mosquitoes away.
