How to make a natural pesticide: the expired milk method

Just a teaspoon is enough to protect your plants naturally and economically.

Having the terrace full of  plants  and flowers is definitely a wish anyway for all those who have a green thumb.

To have  healthy  and leafy plants, however, there are many aspects to take into account and to which we resort all our care. One of them is the possible attack of  parasites . Insects (and not only) that  attack  plants to feed and, in doing so, weaken them.

If you have noticed the presence of these annoying “plant enemies” don’t worry. There are several dedicated products on the market, but for the most part they are industrial products.

Instead you can use  common ingredients  that you definitely have at home. Have you ever had a bottle of  milk  in the fridge for several days after the  due date ? Don’t throw it away, because it is right for you.

Let’s see how.

Necessary

  • 500 ml of expired milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Gauze or cotton fabric
  • Funnel
  • Spray

  1. Combine the milk and a teaspoon of garlic powder.
  2. Mix well, then leave for 2 or 3 hours.
  3. Strain the mixture through cheesecloth and place in a spray container.
  4. Bathe the plant regularly: this will protect it from pests.
