We recommend growing them in a large container or pot at least 30 cm high to obtain as wide a spread as possible. This container is also suitable for cherry tomato varieties. Next, make sure the bottom of your container is well perforated so the water can drain. Next, place a drainer that fills 20% of the pot’s volume. You have many options to choose from:

  • clay balls
  • important
  • small pebbles

After that, keep in mind that tomatoes are very rich in nutrients when creating a rich mixture. How do you plant Bajaja cherry tomatoes? We therefore recommend a good soil enriched with compost and universal organic fertilizer. Mix everything and pour a little into the glass. Don’t forget to plant the stake at the bottom of the pot so that it holds well. Finally, angle your tomato plant to lower the root ball a little and bury part of the stem. Recharge to encourage the emergence of new roots and strengthen the base of the plant. Finally, tamp the soil and water generously. This is done so that the substrate is sufficiently moist.

How to stimulate the growth of tomatoes?

When to grow tomatoes in pots or in the garden? First of all, sow your tomatoes in spring so that they start in the best conditions of heat and light. We recommend growing several varieties of tomatoes. Consider choosing early and late tomatoes to obtain staggered harvests from June, but always depending on your climate. To stimulate the growth of tomatoes, it is also advisable to warm your tomato plants and place them in full light once they have germinated. To be successful, sow seeds 1 to 2 weeks apart. Also, don’t cover them too much.

As the substrate dries more quickly, we recommend being very careful when watering. In summer, water as soon as the soil appears dry. On a sunny balcony, water every day, preferably in the evening after sunset. Be careful not to let the water pool in the cup. Finally, acclimatize the plants to the outside so that they are stronger during the last 15 days.

If you are planting outdoors, loosen the soil well and add compost or manure to the hole. The deeper you plant your tomatoes by burying them up to the first leaves, the more roots they will form and the stronger they will be. The later you water after planting, the longer the tomato roots will develop to draw water. Cover the tomatoes generously and water them not too frequently, 1 to 2 times a week depending on the weather.
