—  Cornstarch  : Cornstarch is also an excellent remedy for removing blood stains from the mattress. You can dilute it with water and apply it to the stain, letting it sit for a few minutes, then remove it with a damp cloth. To increase its effectiveness, you can add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide.

—  Hydrogen peroxide  : Soak some water with hydrogen peroxide and place it on the blood stain. Then remove the pad and wipe it with a damp cloth. You can also dilute the hydrogen peroxide with water and wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove the stain.

Baking soda is a very effective natural remedy

An especially effective remedy for removing blood stains from a mattress is  baking soda.  To get the most out of it, follow this procedure:

  • Make a solution with 2 parts water and 1 part baking soda.
  • Spread the mixture on the blood stain.
  • Let it sit for about ten minutes.
  • Remove the solution without rubbing too much.

In addition to removing blood stains, baking soda also has a   high deodorizing power  and  disinfects the mattress.

How to clean menstrual blood stains

Menstrual blood  has a different composition than the blood that comes from a wound, it dries more quickly and is therefore more difficult to eliminate.

In these cases, the ideal solution to use is a  mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water  , which is applied to the mattress, left to act for a few minutes and removed with a damp microfiber cloth.
