For example, you can make great  roasted melon seeds . You have to take the seeds and put them in a strainer and then clean them well under running water. Then dry them with paper towels and then pour them into a bowl with the extra virgin olive oil, the paprika, the spices you want and also the salt. Once everything is mixed, take the result to a baking tray lined with a sheet of parchment paper and let the seeds cook for 10 minutes at 200 degrees. You can eat them both as an appetizer and to enrich curries, sandwiches, soups and stews.

You can also make a good  smoothie with the seeds . Take the seeds and put them in a blender. We add about 400 ml of water and also some ice cubes. Turn the blender on high and then add the frozen strawberries or frozen banana.

What can you do with melon peels?

The motto of this page is  not to waste .

In fact, you can make a  liqueur with melon peels  that you can serve as a frozen digestif. To make this recipe it is necessary to wash 400 grams of peel under running water. Once ready, cut it into pieces and then transfer the result to a jar containing 500 ml of 95° buongusto alcohol. Then close the jar and let it sit for 10 to 15 days in a dark place. Then prepare the syrup by boiling 250 grams of sugar in 300 milliliters of water. Finally, let everything cool and pour the result into the jar containing the melon peel. Then let the mixture sit for 30 days and then filter everything to get a bottle to store in the freezer.

In addition to these recipes, you can also prepare  decoction from melon peels . Boil approximately 1 liter of water and then add the peels that you have washed well. Simmer for 15 minutes and then let cool. Then strain everything through a sieve and place the decoction in the refrigerator. I recommend drinking it cold adding mint leaves and ice.

Now you will not throw away even the smallest seed or even a piece of shell.

Good luck with your work.
