We are always struggling with home cleaning and mostly try to use natural ingredients. We are very aware that the products on the market, in addition to being expensive, can contain contaminants and be toxic to our health and that of the environment.
Therefore, we are called to return to the origins, to the remedies of the grandmothers, those who were in tune with the well-being of the planet.
Baking soda, lemon juice and white vinegar are among the most popular and famous, the ones that are most popular and about which we have all found a lot of information.
Used alone or in combination with each other, they have whitening, descaling, sanitizing and stain-removing properties.
But few people know the potential hidden in a mixture of vinegar and toothpaste.
With these two ingredients and little else we can create a truly extraordinary detergent that will allow us to sanitize everything!

Toothpaste and vinegar: the perfect mix
The toothpaste is a slightly abrasive paste with whitening properties and completely free of toxic substances. It is used for oral hygiene, therefore, it does not contain harmful chemical derivatives and ends up in the pipes through rinsing, so it must be compatible with the life of aquatic flora and fauna. Therefore, it is one of the natural remedies that we can resort to when we want to respect the planet.
To make our cleaner, we will need:
- 1 empty, clean bottle , possibly with spray nozzle
- 1 bottle of toothpaste
- 1 glass of white wine vinegar
- 1 cup floor detergent
- 1 cinnamon stick.
Pour vinegar, toothpaste, and floor detergent into a small bowl and mix well with the tines of a fork.
Transfer everything to the empty bottle, using a funnel, then insert the cinnamon stick as well. Screw on the cap and shake vigorously to activate our mixture, then spray it on the surfaces to be cleaned. We clean with a soft, dry cloth: glass, shower, furniture, shelves, even the fabric sofa will shine and be deeply disinfected.
