Pour 200 ml of vinegar and 18 grams of baking powder into the detergent drawer, without adding anything else. Set a temperature above 60°C, even better if it is 90°C, and start a full cycle without load. The disinfecting power of the two ingredients will dissolve the lumps and eliminate traces of moisture.
To carry out proper maintenance of the device, repeat the operation monthly.
But that is not all. Baking powder, alone or combined with vinegar, also has laundry whitening properties. Add a bag along with your usual detergent and wash your clothes as you normally do. Yellow and gray halos and spots will melt like snow in the sun.
