Burnt pot: Get as good as new with this infallible trick!

A distraction in the kitchen, a sudden phone call, the postman and the pot burned! What a pity! It is useless to despair, it is better to run for cover, but with caution.

In fact, we cannot rub abrasive sponges vigorously, especially if it is a cast iron or non-stick pan! But there is an infallible, delicate and effective trick.

Curious? Begin!

Burnt pot: recover it in a minute with this foolproof trick!

Here’s what you need to clean a caked-on pot:

  • toothpaste, 1 teaspoon
  • baking soda, 1 tsp
  • eggshell, 1 powder
  • lemon juice (to taste)

First, with a meat mallet, reduce a rinsed clean eggshell to a very fine powder. Then place the toothpaste, baking soda, lemon peel and lemon juice in a bowl exactly in the order we wrote it.

Mix the ingredients carefully to obtain a homogeneous and whitish paste (although a lot depends on the color of the toothpaste). Spread it on the pan and with a soft sponge, scrub away any burnt incrustations. Leave it to act for a few minutes and rinse under the tap.

It will be like new!

With this procedure in less than a minute you will return your casserole to its new state, but it is not the only possible remedy. A lot depends on what you have at home right away.

You can, for example, immediately fill the pot with water, add half a cup of white wine vinegar, put it back on the stove and bring everything to a boil. The degreasing properties of vinegar will dissolve food debris, and once the gas is turned off and the pot cools, you can easily remove them.

Or again, try a baking soda cream – it’s easily made with 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water, mixed together.

If you don’t want to scrub, you can boil water with lemon juice in the pot and add baking soda when it starts to evaporate. Leave it for half an hour with the stove off and rinse.

Have you ever experienced the corrosive power of coke? Bring it to a simmer, let it decant and rinse.

In short, there is no shortage of solutions. Which one do you prefer?
