Yellow Soap Balls – Super Easy to Make and Save a Lot of Money
Yellow soap is a real miracle when it comes to household chores. Economical, ecological and effective, let’s say it embodies the rule of the 3 E’s, which is why it is depopulating the web.
Its degreasing properties make it perfect for treating any surface, even the most delicate ones, since it contains, in addition to potassium, coconut oil, which is nutritious and emollient.
By its nature, then, it lends itself to being malleable, so once a small nut has been taken, we can shape it into a ball and use it practically anywhere.
Let’s see in detail how to do it!
Yellow Soap Balls – Super Easy to Make and Save a Lot of Money
Our grandmothers used yellow soap (and Marseille soap) to wash their hands, but today, with technology that has freed us from this heavy task, we can safely serve it in the washing machine. Our clothes will be white and very white; One ball inserted into the half-loaded basket will suffice, two if it is full. Turn on the device and, at the end of the cycle, enjoy the result.
But the thing doesn’t end there. If rubbed on scratches or stains, even the most stubborn ones, it acts as a pre-treatment agent and degreases perfectly. Mix a ball of yellow soap with a teaspoon of baking soda and rub the mixture on the affected area. Wash your garment as usual and you will be surprised.
However, if it is the washing machine that is stuck, know that this remedy will make it new. Dissolve a ball in half a liter of water, add a glass of baking soda and pour everything into the basket, then start an empty cycle. Dissolves dirt and lime, freeing it from any residue.
To disinfect joints, portholes, and baskets, recreate the same solution, then pour it into a clean spray bottle and spray where needed. Wipe it with a cloth or sponge and you’re done!
Now let’s move on to the cleaning itself, the concern of each of us! Say goodbye to all those expensive and polluting products and equip yourself with only a bar of yellow soap. Use just one ball, place it in the center of a soft sponge and scrub the dull and stained areas of the steel to make it like new.
With the same procedure, you will also dissolve lime stains, but for the most stubborn or difficult to reach ones, all you have to do is create this mixture:
- 500 ml of water,
- juice of 1 lemon,
- 1 tablespoon baking soda,
- 1 tablespoon of yellow soap.
Mix everything in a bowl, then pour into a spray bottle and spray where needed. Rinse. Everything will shine! Even the bathroom! Try to press a ball into the container so that the flushing water covers it each time you pull (or press). It will counteract the formation of any dirt or mold on its own.
A single ball is also used to wash floors, dissolved in a bucket of warm water.
Reserve this treatment especially for terracotta and stoneware, because the oily part of the soap could damage more delicate surfaces such as marble and parquet.
Finally, if the rain has dirty your magnificent stained glass windows, with a ball of yellow soap dissolved in a basin of water, you can restore their lost shine. Dip a sponge into the solution, then wipe it over the glass and window frames. Rinse and dry immediately – no streaks left!
