Bees have been declared the most important living creatures on earth

It is estimated that around 90% of the world’s   bee population  has become extinct in recent decades. The reasons for this tragedy are many and vary depending on the context, but the main ones are massive deforestation, the use of pesticides, the lack of flowers and environmental pollution.

At the recent Royal Geographical Society conferences in London, various institutes declared  bees to be “the most important living creatures on the planet  . ” Although this is good news, there is also a disturbing truth behind this statement: bees  are on the endangered species list  .

The decline in the bee population has made this species even more crucial to the survival of the Earth’s ecosystems.

According to some activists, a solution could be to immediately ban the use of pesticides and launch a plan to monitor bee health.

Fortunately, many people around the world are beginning to understand the   importance of bees  and are implementing numerous projects to protect them.

In Detroit, many families are turning waste land into bee sanctuaries   , while in the Netherlands, bus stop roofs have been converted into shelters for these small but very important insects.

Hollywood star Morgan Freeman has converted his large estate in Mississippi into a massive bee sanctuary.

We can also make a contribution in our small way. All you need is a small piece of land or even a balcony to build a small sanctuary for bees.
